Drum Jams & Rhythm Community Events

Seattle has a vibrant world rhythm community, and these drum and dance nuts will gather at the drop of a hat.

Drum circles and drum jams almost always happen at these annual festivals, so be sure to bring your drums and small percussion:

• Festival Sundiata, Seattle Center
• World Rhythm Festival, April, Seattle Center
• Folklife, Memorial Day weekend, Seattle Center
• Hempfest, mid-August, Myrtle Edwards Park
• Bumbershoot, Labor Day weekend, Seattle Center (this event has been less friendly to drum jammers in recent years, so don’t get your hopes up too much)
• Seattle Peace Concerts, Sundays throughout the summer, various city parks (drum circle forms at 6:00 after the last band has finished)
