Drum Jams & Rhythm Community Events

Seattle has a vibrant world rhythm community, and these drum and dance nuts will gather at the drop of a hat. Here’s a calendar of upcoming drum jams, drum circles, and other rhythm community events.

Drum circles and drum jams almost always happen at these annual festivals, so be sure to bring your drums and small percussion:

• Festival Sundiata, February, Seattle Center
• World Rhythm Festival, April, Seattle Center
• Folklife, Memorial Day weekend, Seattle Center
• Hempfest, mid-August, Myrtle Edwards Park
• Bumbershoot, Labor Day weekend, Seattle Center (this event has been less friendly to drum jammers in recent years, so don’t get your hopes too much)
• Seattle Peace Concerts, Sundays throughout the summer, various city parks (drum circle forms at 6:00 after the last band has finished)
